St. Vrain River Cabin

Nestled in a rustic wooded lot along the St. Vrain River outside Lyons, Colorado, a small simple cabin was transformed into a family home while preserving the charm and character of the earlier structure. The client wanted to use the local limestone, reclaimed timber and old plank flooring for its authentic quality, as well as have a massive wood-burning stone fireplace to heat in the Great Room. The upper balcony, the wooden deck and the river rock of the front porch reach out to the rushing river just a few feet away.
